Nissan Cross-Functional Town Hall Set

A cross-functional team of Nissan executives including purchasing, engineering and quality will meet with OESA regular and affiliate members at the Nissan Town Hall meeting on Feb. 22, 2012, at the Troy Marriott, Troy, Mich. This is Nissan’s second OESA town hall meeting.
There will be individual presentations and a Q-and-A session with Nissan executives including Rebecca Vest, vice president, purchasing, Nissan North America, Renault-Nissan Purchasing Organization (RNPO), and Carla Bailo, president, Nissan Technical Center North America, senior vice president, NNA R&D Americas. Vest oversees Nissan’s purchasing activities for the company’s manufacturing operations in the United States and Mexico. Bailo is responsible for all of Nissan’s vehicle engineering and development operations in Michigan, Arizona, Mexico and Brazil. In addition to presentations by Vest and Bailo, other Nissan executives will speak in detail on other Nissan initiatives, encompassing purchasing, engineering and quality.
Nissan’s supply base is critical to Nissan as it pursues its Power 88 corporate strategy to achieve brand power, sales power, enhanced quality, zero-emission leadership, business expansion and cost leadership. Vest, Bailo and their counterparts will discuss Nissan’s approach to strengthening supplier performance and partnership through supplier development programs and collaborative activities.
Members may register and network with Nissan executives from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. A light lunch will be provided. The town hall, including the question and answer session, will run from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Nissan executives will be available for informal discussions following the meeting as well.
