Bio
Margaret Baxter is vice president, policy and international affairs. In this capacity Baxter administers several OESA peer group councils and is responsible for related committees, special projects and events.
Prior to joining OESA in 1999, Baxter worked for seven years at the Canadian Consulate in Detroit, Mich. as an international trade officer. In this capacity, Baxter provided consulting services to Canadian suppliers of automotive parts and services.
Before working at the Consulate, Baxter was employed as a development associate for the Detroit Economic Growth Corp. working with overseas trade delegations and companies seeking establishment in the Detroit area. Other experience includes work in advertising, marketing and education.
Baxter has a bachelor's degree in political science and international relations from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and an master's degree in French history from Middlebury College and the University of Paris, Nanterre, France, as well as a certificate from the Foreign Service Institute of Canada.
