John R. Chalifoux

Bio
John R. Chalifoux came to OESA from U.S. Auto Group in Birmingham, Mich., bringing a wide breadth of automotive industry experience. Prior to the auto retail business, Chalifoux served as an automotive consultant and a marketing and sales professional in the automotive supplier community. Chalifoux began his career with Goldman Sachs in New York.
Chalifoux is the first member of the OESA staff to have experienced the OESA value proposition as a customer.
While Marketing Director at Valeo, Chalifoux became actively involved with OESA serving as a founding member of the OE Sales & Marketing and e-Business councils.
After Valeo, Chalifoux went on to work for OESA affiliate members PricewaterhouseCoopers and J.D. Power and Associates, continuing to work with OESA on special projects.
Chalifoux is a former treasurer of the Michigan State Executive MBA Alumni Board, is a member of the Marketing and Sales Executives of Detroit and serves as a director of the Birmingham Hockey Association.
Chalifoux earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stony Brook University and a master’s degree in business administration from the Executive MBA Program at Michigan State University. Chalifoux is also a graduate of the National Automobile Dealers Association Dealer Academy.

- Manage peer group councils including: Foreign Subsidiaries, Product Development and Warranty Management
- Develop international programs
- Strengthen OEM-supplier and supplier-supplier relations
- Expand value proposition for OE suppliers with less than $250 million in annual sales
