Modec, a United Kingdom-based company that produces electric vehicles, has launched the world's first high-performance electric trucks in the United Kingdom.

The company has sold a fleet of the battery-powered vehicles to the Tesco supermarket chain.

The vehicle can operate for 100 miles before recharging, with a top speed of 50mph. It is priced from GBP25,000 and exempted from road tax.
