As automotive suppliers struggle to attract and retain employees, Engagement has become a high priority. What role do leaders throughout the organization play, and how do you drive commitment to an Engagement strategy? How do you ensure you have the right leaders in place?
To help member companies create a winning culture of engagement, OESA has developed a collection of events focused on how organizations can develop and maintain their employee engagement.
The third, and final employee engagement meeting, Driving Engagement Through Leadership Selection and Development, will be held on Sept. 19, 2018, at the MSU Management Education Center, in Troy, Mich. and live webinar. Attendees of this session will hear how automotive companies are using technology and data to make insightful, successful leadership decisions that directly influence employee engagement and financial performance.
Elizabeth Crider, Ph.D, from DTE’s Organizational Development and Talent group will describe how DTE has driven engagement throughout its organization with the expectation that both unionized and union-free facilities should have the same high levels of engagement. She will discuss how DTE has implemented their engagement strategy from the CEO down and how they have incorporated accountability.
Marilyn Carlstedt, automotive and manufacturing talent advisor, and Rita Kocjancic, talent and leadership specialist, DDI, will discuss the important connection between leadership and employee engagement. Kocjancic will also share the impact the executive suite has on overall employee engagement. In addition, Dr. James Clevenger, automotive leadership consultant, DDI, will examine what makes a leader effective at engaging employees.
The sessions are intended for employees who are involved with executing strategy, creating policy, transferring knowledge and creating great teams.
