The Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA) and South Carolina Automotive Council (SCAC) invite suppliers to attend the OESA/SCAC South Carolina Regional Supplier Meeting on June 14, 2018. The event will be held at the prestigious Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) in Greenville, S.C.
Ann Wilson, senior vice president, government affairs, Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), will review the hot topics out of Washington, D.C., and the impact on the automotive industry including the latest information on NAFTA and tariffs. Additionally, Wilson will share how the MEMA Washington, D.C., team is advocating for automotive suppliers.
David Clayton, executive director, Center for Manufacturing Innovation (CMI), will discuss workforce development, CMI’s unique model, and how it supports advanced manufacturing and today’s smart factories.
A panel of automotive industry experts including Bala Lakshman, managing director, strategy, KPMG, Tom Miller, general manager, emerging regulations and new technical research, Aisin Technical Center of America, and James Schwyn, chief technical officer, Valeo North America, will share their insights during the technology panel session, “Sifting Through the Hype.” Moderated by Brian Daugherty, chief technology officer, MEMA, the panel will answer questions and share the reality vs the hype behind the headlines on AV, EV and more.
The day will conclude with a presentation from Michael Balke, president and CEO, Mercedes-Benz Vans, sharing insight into the current status of the expansion project and how suppliers can interface with Mercedes-Benz Vans..
