Registration for the OESA 2017 West Michigan Regional event which will be held December 14th, 2017 at the GVSU Eberhard Center in Grand Rapids, MI has closed. Registration will be available on-site at the event at no additional cost. There will be a designated individual at the OESA registratin desk to will help you complete registration.

Event Details

OESA members and industry guests are invited to attend the OESA West Michigan Regional Supplier Meeting on Dec. 14, 2017, at the GVSU Eberhard Center, Grand Rapids, MI.

Jamie Winter, senior account manager, Development Dimensions International (DDI), will lead an informative and interactive session on effective and practical approaches for suppliers to grow and retain talent. In addition, Tom Lehner, vice president, public policy of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) Washington, D.C. team, will discuss current topics in Washington that may impact suppliers including NAFTA, CAFE and tax reform. 

Mike Powell, principal, Sam Hodges, director of state and local tax, and Paul Bach, tax senior manager, Rehmann, will help attendees understand federal, state and local tax-saving strategies. This presentation will provide suppliers with recommendations for saving on taxes in terms of R&D tax credits/cost segregation, state and local, and property tax.

Mike Jackson, executive director, strategy and research, OESA, will provide an update on the economy, light vehicle sales and production, and the need for suppliers to field the right product mix. Additionally, Jackson will discuss striking the balance between profitable trucks and a range of battery electric vehicles. Highlights will include tension in the market of car vs. truck, regional vs global, near-term vs long-term and internal combustion engines vs electrification.
